Stanley E. Matusiewicz, age 86, of Bayville passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Bayonne, he was a longtime Bayville resident.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Matusiewicz retired as a sergeant in 1986 after a twenty-five year career as a State Trooper with the New Jersey State Police.
He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Jean Matusiewicz, his son, Steven Matusiewicz, and his sister, Dorothy Signorile. He is survived his wife, Lorraine; his daughter, Jill and her husband George Gohr of Bayville; and his sister, Jean Zabecki.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10am until 12 noon at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Funeral services and military honors will be held at 12 noon.
