Willie Howard Rush
October 12, 1942 - March 17, 2017

Funeral services for Mr. Willie Howard Rush, age 74, of the Dry Hollow Community will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 from the Rocky Point Baptist Church. Bro. Nolan Cantrell will officiate. Burial will be in the Sands Springs Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday morning from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 at the Rocky Point Baptist Church.

Mr. Rush passed from this life on Friday morning, March 17, 2017 at his home. He was born in Macon County to the late Clarence Earl & Dona Ann Cross Rush. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was Logger & Farmer. He enjoyed working off the land harvesting timber and living off his farm.

He is survived by his sons, Anthony Howard Newberry & wife Lisa Ann of Red Boiling Springs & Russel Rush & wife Sky of the Dry Hollow Community; grandchildren, Asa James Rush, Trevor Newberry, Mikayla Newberry & Chase Newberry; sisters, Judith Swindel, Matred Hammer & Carolyn Flippin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Scott Howard Rush & Dustin Grant Rush; sisters, Wanda Ray & Mildred Wood; brothers, Walace, Edwin, Kenneth, Ronald Dean & Earl Ray Rush.
