Funeral services for Mrs. Della Boswell, age 88, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Mike White will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.
Mrs. Della Boswell passed from this life on Monday afternoon, March 27, 2017 at the Overton County Health & Rehab Center. She was born in Overton County July 29, 1928 to the late Radford & Mary Walker Ramsey. She was a member of the Refuge Church. She was a housewife and worked for many years as a babysitter. She enjoyed fishing, yard sales, gardening, canning, cooking, quilting and taking care of many children.
She is survived by daughters, Colleen Walker & husband Clarence of Livingston, Carlene Gibbons also of Livingston; grandchildren, Greg Walker, Brett Gibbons, Brad Gibbons; great grandchildren, Lakeisha Walker Bryson, Gregory Walker, Trevor Walker, Haleigh Gibbons, Elijah Gibbons, Marley Gibbons & Shay Gibbons Key; great great grandchildren, Walker Bryson, Tanner Bryson, and Ryder Nolen; brother, Ray Ramsey & J. C. Ramsey; sisters, Alice Cole, Stella Young, Rillie Hill, Marie Greenwood, Elsie Cantrell, Diane Ramsey; & several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boswell is preceded in death by her husband H.C. Boswell; daughter, Charlene Carney; brothers, Roy Ramsey, Junior Ramsey, Lanza "B" Ramsey & sisters, Cella Swack, Zella Ramsey.
