Fred Hampton Maxwell

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Hampton Maxwell, age 89, Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2017, from the Livingston Church of Christ where the body will lie in state from 12 noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Bro. Bobby Gore Bro. Danny Huffines will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided at graveside by the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. The family will welcome friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Livingston Church of Christ. Mr. Maxwell passed from this life on Friday morning, June 2, 2017 at the Overton County Health and Rehab Center in Livingston. He was born in Jackson County, TN to the late Charlie Russell Ida Ann Johnson Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell was the retired Vice President of Cumberland Manufacturing. He was a 50 year member of the Livingston Masonic Lodge, a member of the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of Livingston a member of the Livingston Church of Christ. Mr. Maxwell loved his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his garden keeping his yard mowed and neatly trimmed as if it was in the next Southern Living Magazine. He enjoyed all types of sports, but most of all he enjoyed playing golf drinkingcoffeewith his buddies. He is survived by his sons, Gary Maxwell wife Lucretia of Cookeville, TN Greg Maxwell wife Ina of Crossville, TN; daughter, Elizabeth Faulkner husband Rodney of Livingston, TN; 5 grandchildren, Davis, Lee, Gregory Mary Beth Maxwell Maxwell Woodard; sister, Helen Ruth Draper of Gainesboro, TN. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jo Malone Maxwell; brothers, Charles Carson Maxwell sisters, Frances Chaffin Lucye Long. Pallbearers to serve are Dr. Larry Mason, Luke Mason, Lance Mason, Alan Long, John Maxwell Paul Korth. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Cihat, Leonard Ledbetter all the former employees of Cumberland Mfg.Memorial Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
