Funeral services for Mrs. Phyllis L. Carlson, age 88, of Cookeville, will be conducted 3 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2017, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Donnie Bull will officiate. Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday from 1 until time of service at 3 p.m.
Mrs. Carlson passed from this life on Friday morning, June 2, 2017 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born on April 9, 1929, in Chicago, ILL, to the late Alex & Norma Goodeon. Mrs. Phyllis L. Carlson was a Minister.
Mrs. Carlson loved her family, gardening, farm life, her animals, especially her cats, and all types of music.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Gillentine & husband Tony of Cookeville, TN & Sarah Lynn Lincoln of Liberty, TN; son, Keith Carlson & wife Laura of Wonder Lake, ILL; grandchildren, Samantha Carlson, Ryan Manning, Cody Gillentine; great grandchildren, Kinsley Gillentine; brother, Larry Goodeon of Hilham, TN; sister, Diane Walsh of Chicago, Ill.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husbands, Morris Carlson & Edward Lincoln; son Edward Lincoln Carlson; daughter, Claudia Carlson.
