Funeral services for Mrs. Dortha Clyda Neal, age 93, of Rickman will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. John Nichols will officiate. Burial will be in the Okolona Cemetery. Family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dortha Neal passed from this life on Monday morning, June 12, 2017 from the Morningside assisted living in Cookeville. She was born on June 8, 1923 to the late James Lee & Sarah A. Halsell Clark. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, & cooking. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing with her late husband, Homer C. Neal.
Mrs. Neal is survived by 2 sons; Jeff Neal and wife June from Livingston, TN, & Mark Neal & wife Kathy of Livingston, TN; daughter, Diann Poston of Rickman, TN; grandchildren, Elaina Morgan, Steve Poston, Kelly Beasly & D. J. Massengille; 9 great grandchildren; also several nieces & nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Bud Clark & Bill Clark; sisters, Auda Clark, Clara Clark, Lily Eldridge, Gusta Cullom, Daisy Fleming, 1 infant brother & 1 infant sister.
Pallbearers to serve: Kelly Morgan, Steve Poston, Billy Jim Clark, D.J. Massengille, Derrick Beasly, Trent Phillips & Andy Montgomery.
