Funeral service for Mrs. Mildred Irene McAlpin Palk, age 91, of Cookeville and formerly of Overton County will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Gore will officiate. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Mildred passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday night, June 14, 2017 from the NHC in Cookeville. She was born in Overton County April 8, 1926 to the late Herbert & Zona Bea Denton McAlpin.
Mildred was a beautician for 62 years. She was a member of the Willow Avenue Church of Christ. She loved meeting new people and helping others since she was a young lady.
Mildred is survived by her sister, Wilma Loggins & husband Kenneth of Cookeville, Tn; brother, James McAlpin of Livingston, TN; & several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Rogers & Stanley Palk; sister, Anna Dean Brady; & brothers, Harold, Nolan & Donald McAlpin.
