Funeral services for Mr. Richard Wayne Lafever, age 63, of Livingston will be conducted 3 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2017, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Emily Gail McLearran will officiate with a celebration of life. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.
Mr. Lafever passed from this life on Thursday afternoon, July 6, 2017 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Putnam County, TN. on May 22, 1954 to the late Albert & Pauline Thomas Lafever. He was a member of the Church of Christ and worked for the State of Tennessee's Highway Marking Dept. Richard loved his devoted wife of 22 years, his family, demolation derbys. He also enjoyed cooking and tinkering with things.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Lafever; son, Joseph Phillips; daughters, Amber Helm & husband Michael & Brittany Lafever & boyfriend Jerry King, & Brandi Mills; grandchildren, Levi Helm & Hunter Mills; Sisters, Joyce Nash & Annette Gilpatrick; Brother, Billy McLearran; Numerous friends also survive.
In addition to his parents Mr. Lafever is preceded in death by his step-father, Dewayne Sherril; infant son, Kevin Lafever; brother, Leon Lafever.
Pallbearers to serve are Jeremy McLearran, Chris McLearran, Jonathan Gilpatrick, Jordan Gilpatrick, Anthony Thomas, Adam Thomas, Jessie Thompson, Mark Walker & Joseph Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Wade Mills & Levi Garner Helm.
