Funeral services for Mr. Robert Wylie Gore, Jr., age 86, of the Holly Springs community will be conducted 3 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2017, from the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. Bro. Bobby Gore & Bro. Billy Joe Gore will officiate. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Honor Guard of the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. Family will welcome friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 9 p.m., at Walnut Grove Church of Christ.
Mr. Robert Gore passed from this life on Monday afternoon, July 10, 2017 at his home. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. He was born in Overton County on June 20, 1931, to the late Robert Wylie & MC Hawkins Gore. Mr. Gore loved his family, his animals, truly loved his grandchildren and story telling. He was a local historian in his community.
Mr. Gore is survived by his wife, Thelma Gore; sons, Bobby Gore, Billy Joe Gore & wife Lisa; grandchildren, Catherine, Ben & wife Jai, Molly & Noah Gore.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
