Myrtle A Stringfield

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle A. Stringfield, age 97, of Livingston, will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Aron Dillion & Bro. Bobby Gore will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The Family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.

Mrs. Myrtle A. Stringfield passed from this life on Monday morning, July 31, 2017, at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born in Overton County on September 11, 1919, to the late Burr & Ollie Neely Gore. She loved her family, collecting antiques and sewing. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters; Shirley Phillips, from Livingston, TN, & Faye Coleman & husband A. B., from Livingston, TN; son-in-law, Edwin Swartz, from Birmingham, Al; 2 grandchildren, Terry Phillips & wife Amy & Tracy Coleman; 3 step-grandchildren, Edwin Swarts,Jr., Steve Swartz & wife Bee, & Leslie Shultz & husband Scott; 3 great grandchildren, Jacye Phillips, Tanner Phillips & Ryley Phillips; 6 step great grandchildren.

Mrs. Stringfield is preceded in death by her husbands, Deb Allred & Leslie Stringfield; parents, Burr & Ollie Neely Gore, step daughter, Billie Ray Swartz & her brother, Curtis Gore.
