Funeral services for Mrs. Charlene Holman Seber, age 82, of Allons will be conducted 12 noon, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Rice, Rev. Terry Geren, Bro. Thurman Seber & Bro. Edwin Garrett will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. & Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until time of services at 12 noon.
Mrs. Seber passed from this life on Saturday morning, August 19, 2017 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Overton County on November 26, 1934 to the late Grady Haston & Daisy Ledbetter Holman. Charlene was a 1953 graduate of Livingston Academy. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Allons Baptist Church. Charlene was a true expample of a virtuous woman. She always put others' needs before her own and took it upon herself to make sure all of her family and friends were cared for. She loved attending church with her family and friends. She loved shopping and had an wardrobe for every occasion.
Mrs. Charlene was survived by her loving son, Joel Seber of Allons, TN; a host of family and friends and several special caregivers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Seber; and infant brother.
Pallbearers to serve are Ron Thurman, Mike Renfro, Keith Thurman, Roy Seber, Durran Lewis & Adam Bowser.
Honorary Pallbearers are Willie Hugh Bilbrey & wife Verdina & Edwin Garrett & wife Peggy.
