Joyce Dodson Windle
January 7, 1938 - August 22, 2017

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Dodson Windle, age 79, of Livingston will be conducted 12 Noon, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at The First Church in Livingston. Rev. Craig Green will officiate. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery. The family will welcome friends at the church on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Mrs. Windle was born in Overton County, Tennessee to the late Tommy Mary Ray Dodson. Mrs Windle passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday evening, August 22, 2017 at her home. Joyce was a 1956 graduate of Rickman High School. She retired from Union Bank, where she worked for many years as a banker. She was very family oriented and loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. In her early years, she attended Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church and Monroe Christian Church. She was also a member of the First Church in Livingston. Mrs. Windle is survived by her sons, Dr. Mark Copeland wife Jackie of Chattanooga, TN, John Copeland of Chattanooga, TN, and Tom Windle and wife Christy of Livingston, TN; daughters, Monica Copeland Means husband Jim of Cookeville, TN, Amy Windle Oakley husband Scott of Livingston, TN, and Amanda Windle Rios husband Malcolm of Colorada Springs, Co; 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Dodson of Rickman, TN; sisters, Crickett Kesler of Bessemer, AL Barbara Gilliam of Rickman, TN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Allen Windle; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Marie Copeland; sisters, Curtis Officer and Mary Pearl Teasley; brothers, Lattie, John L., Charlie, CLaudell, Harley, Fowler, JB Dewey Dodson. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society the Waisman Center to fund research for Alexander's Disease, in honor of her grandson, Cameron Copeland, by contacting Speck Funeral Home.
