Funeral services for Mr. Farley R. Hodge, age 93, of the Twinton Community will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Robbie Miller & Bro. Johnnie Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in the Hanging Limb Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.
Mr. Farley passed from this life on Monday afternoon, September 25, 2017 at his daughter's home in Livingston. He was born July 9, 1924 in Putnam County to the late Jeff & Sarah Cleghorn Hodge. Farley was a Coal Miner in the Wilder Coal Mines. He loved his family very much. He enjoyed gardening, going to church, and telling people about Jesus.
Farley is survived by his daughters, Shelby Bilyeu of Hilham, TN & Linda Bennett of Livingston, TN; son, Carl Hodge & wife Linda of the Twinton Community; grandchildren, Regina Breyer, Beth Johnson, Amy Hutchings, Greg Bennett, Amanda Hodge, Richard Hodge, Lindsey Kirkpatrick & Tracy Clark; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Anthony Wayne Hodge & wife Jalena of Wilder, TN & Andrew Hodge & wife Carol of Nashville, TN; sister, Ozie Adkins & husband James of Nashville, TN; special friends, Sherry Hancock & Marissa Price.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Roberts Hodge; son, Willie Hodge; daughters, Brenda Abston & Marie Hammons & granddaughter, Heather Abston.
Pallbearers to serve are Greg Bennett, Shane Hodge, Darrell Hodge, Bruce Harris, Donnie Hite & Larry Vaughn.
