Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Charles Eugene "Shotgun" Matthews, age 82, of West Palm Beach, Florida and formerly of Overton County will be conducted at a later date. Mr. Matthews passed from this life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in West Palm Beach, Florida. A native of Overton County, he served his country in the United States Air Force. He also served the community as a police officer in both Overton Putnam Counties.He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Bilbrey Matthews of West Palm Beach, FL; brothers, John Matthews and wife Carolyn of Murfreesboro, TN James Matthews wife Brenda of Livingston, TN; sister, Virginia Scantland of Livingston, TN.He was preceded in death by his mother, Evan Dean Matthews sister, Louise Matthews Ramsey.
