Funeral services for Mr. Donald R. Staggs, age 82, of Allons will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Nolan Cantrell will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m.Mr. Staggs passed from this life on Friday morning, December 22, 2017 from Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born in Overton County on June 22, 1935 to the late Estel Velma Gore Staggs. He was Baptist in faith, and he was a bus driver for the Overton County school system for many years.Donald is survived by his son, Donnie Staggs wife Monica of Rickman, TN; daughters, Debra Deck husband Terry of Alpine, TN Donna Bournes of Livingston, TN; grandchildren, Todd Bournes, Chad Bournes wife Jamie, Brad Bournes, Cody Deck wife Ashley, Billy Staggs Travis Staggs; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Kenny Staggs wife Connie of Allons, TN, Danny Staggs wife Wilma Jackie Staggs wife Kay of Allons, TN.In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by is loving wife, Betty Staggs; son, Billy Ray Staggs; brother Ronnie "Buddy" Staggs sisters, Jimmie Mae Cravens Janie Maynord.Pallbearers to serve are Joey Staggs, Steven Bournes, Chad Bournes, Brad Bournes, Cody Deck Todd Bournes.
