Funeral services for Mr. Claude Lewis Cooper, age 84, of Nashville and formerly of the Spring Creek Community, will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Burial will be in the Netherland Cemetery, with Military Honors provided at Graveside, by the Honor Guard of the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. Bro. Nolan Cantrell will officiate. The family will welcome friends on Thursday morning from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2.Mr. Claude passed from this life early Monday morning, January 1, 2018 at Caris Healthcare in Nashville. He was born at home in the Spring Creek Community on November 12, 1933 to the late Marsh Hazel Hastings Cooper. He was a 1953 graduate of Rickman High School. He served his nation well for 24 years in the Untied States Air Force and retired in November of 1978 as an E-9 CM Sgt. Claude enjoyed camping and traveling.He is survived by his son, Jonathan Cooper wife Andrea of Hendersonville, TN; daughter, Kim Cooper Bush husband Gary of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Layne Cooper Dakota Miller; brother, Billy Cooper wife Louise of Hendersonville, TN; several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his sisters, Blanch Nola Cozine Kedna Speck.
