Funeral services for Ms. Karen Gilpatrick, age 70, of the Holly Springs Community, will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Bruce Mullinix Bro. Bobby Gore will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Thursday evening from 5 until9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.Ms. Karen passed from this life on Monday evening, January 8, 2018 at Signature Healthcare Center in Algood. She was born in Detroit, MI to the late Devaugh "Dude" Irene Ogletree Gilpatrick. She was a 1966 graduate of Livingston Academy. Karen worked for many years as a CNA at the Overton County Health Rehab Center in Livingston. She was a member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ.Karen enjoyed cooking gardening, listening to country music, especially Porter Wagoner Dolly Parton. She was faithful to take care of her family. She also enjoyed going to Hardees and studying genealogy.She is survived by her sister, Kathy Gilpatrick Smith of Livingston, TN; brothers, Ed Gilpatrick Ben Gilpatrick of the Holly Springs Community.In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ben Beulah Hawkins Ogletree; aunt, Elise Ogletree.Pallbearers to serve are Ed Gilpatrick, Ben Gilpatrick, Eddie Gilpatrick, Gary Gilpatrick, Leo Willis Kevin Carmack.
