Funeral services for Mr. Michael Eugene Cox, age 49, of the Turkey Town community in Hilham will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. John Mabrey will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Mr. Michael Cox passed from this life on Monday afternoon, January 29, 2018 at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Jackson County, TN on February 3, 1968 to the late Eugene Cox and Hilda Dale Cox. Michael enjoyed hunting, riding horses, fishing and shooting pool with his sons. He also loved football and was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He worked for many years as an EMT for the Overton County Ambulance Service.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Cox of the Turkey Town community in Hilham, TN; sons, Cody Cox and Nicholas Cox of Livingston, TN; mother, Hilda Cox of the Turkey Town community in Hilham, TN; sister, Sharon Ashlock of Hilham, TN; 4 grandchildren, Mitchell Cox, Cameron Cox, Elly Whiteside, and Bella Whiteside; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Cox.

Pallbearers to serve are Brandon McDonald, Paul Valenzuela, Dylan Ashlock, Joe Stansberry, Jeremy Vaughn, and James Reeder.

Honorary Pallbearers to serve are James Dale, Raymond Brown, and Lee Hollingsworth.
