Geraldine "Gerry" Anne Hart, 92, of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away Friday night January 26th, 2018 at the Clarence Senior Living Center in Clarence, Iowa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am with a one hour prior visitation on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 305 Elm Street E, Rockwell, IA. Father John Gossman will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Gerry was born January 16th, 1926 in Rockwell, Iowa. Gerry was the daughter of Jack and Irene (Meehan) Fitzgerald. Gerry's profession was nursing, but her true vocation was caring for her family and her deep devotion to her faith. Gerry married Lowell L. Hart on November 17, 1951. He preceded her in death October 16th, 2003.
Gerry will be sadly missed and remembered by her children: Son Thomas L. (Karen) Hart, son Randon C. (Julie) Hart, and daughter Mary Kim Hart; eleven grandchildren: Andrew (Jill) Hart, Kevin Hart, Nicholas (Kelly) Hart, Nathaniel Hart, Patrick Hart, Mathew (Amber) Hart, Christopher (LindyLu) Hart, Sarah (Robert Eiselstein) Perez, Anne (Alex) Perez, Erin Hart, and Caitlin Hart; nine great-grandchildren; her brother Leo Pat (Jo Ann) Fitzgerald, and her sister Sharon (Donald) Kruckenberg.
Gerry was preceded by her husband, her parents Jack and Irene Fitzgerald, a sister Kay, and three brothers Irv, J.F., and Doc.
Memorials can be made to the Carmelite Sisters in Eldridge, Iowa.
