Norma Jean Corbin, age 89, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born on October 22, 1928 to Joseph and Thelma (Nelson) O'Neil in Croton Dam, MI. On May 24, 1947 she married Richard A. Corbin and they spent 65 years together until his passing in 2013. Norma spent many years self employed as a ceramics and porcelain doll making. Most recently she had been working as the assistant activities director for Sanctuary at McAuley Nursing Home until her retirement in 2007. She was a faithful member of Central Assembly of God Church, where she taught Sunday school for years. She enjoyed crafts, reading, bird watching and gardening. She is survived by her children, Pamela Cabala, Keith (Sue) Corbin, Colleen Corbin, Robert (Grace) Corbin, Jennice Corbin, Maureen (Brian) Ford; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and brother, Michael (Carolyn) O'Neil. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Emily Ford, sister, Alice Spease; and brother, James O'Neil. A MEMORIAL GATHERING for Norma will take place on Friday, February 2, 2018, at the Central Assembly of God Church (896 Home St.) at 11:00 AM with Pastor Wally Reames officiating.
