Funeral services for Mr. Irvin W. Taylor, age 69, of the Willow Grove Hwy. will be conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Junior Foster, Bro. John Deitz & Bro. Bobby White will officiate. Burial will be in the Old Bethel Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m., a Masonic service will be held at 7 pm, then visitation on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the Livingston Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor passed from this life on Thursday evening, June 16, 2016 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born in Pickett County, September 1, 1946 to the late Homan & Dollie Harvey Taylor. He was a 1964 graduate of Livingston Academy. He worked many years for the General Motors Company. Irvin loved boating, fishing, golfing & nature. He most precious time was spent with his wife, children, grandchildren & family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mrs. Peggy White Taylor of Monroe, TN.; daughters, Vickie Colson of Monroe, TN. & Melinda Taylor of Avon, IN.; son, Michael Taylor of Pleasant View, CO. & honorary son, Bobby Bond of Byrdstown, TN.; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Jacobs, Natasha Taylor, Gavin Taylor, Aaron Batten, Landin Taylor & Madison Batten; sisters, Nellie Garrett of Livingston, TN., Marie Bilbro & husband Harvey of Smyrna, TN. & Gay Moles & husband Doyle; brother, Carlis Taylor & wife Beatrice of Anderson IN.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dollie Ruth Taylor & Christene Matthews.
Pallbearers to serve are Mike Taylor, Nick Jacobs, Aaron Batten, Landin Taylor, Matt White, David White, Garry Garret, Chris Bond & Brad Collins.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Bond, Doyle Moles, Art Smith, Scotty Westmoreland & Gavin Taylor.

"We lost a good man this but our loss is Heaven's gain. God has a job for Irving in Heaven. I (Collette) just personally want to thank Irving and Peggy for accepting me into the family. When Ronald andxI visited them before we got married I think Irving was testing my cooking skills - teaching me how he made sausage gravy. I think I passed the test. :) I thought it turned out pretty good. We are praying God will surround you all with His comforting and loving arms in the days to come. Irving loved you all and was so proud of his family. Continue to make him proud for he is watching over you and will always be alive in your hearts. God bless and keep you. RIP Irving.
