Mr. Billy G. Davis, age 81, of the Popular Springs Community passed from this life on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016 from the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Livingston. Burial will follow.
Billy was born September 4, 1934 in Overton County to the late Jake & Nevada Burkes Davis. He was a residential electrician for many years. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Popular Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Eddie Glenn Davis of Manchester, TN., William Kurt Davis of Rickman, TN., Gary Wade Davis of Hardys Chapel, TN., Randall Scott Davis of Cookeville, TN.; step-son, Joel Allen Anderson of Hardys Chapel, TN.; brother, Paul Davis, Jr. of Hardys Chapel, TN.; sister, Evelyn Coffee of California; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren & several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Velma Lucine Ward Davis; brothers, Claudine & Earl Davis & sister, Christene Davis.
