Emerson E. Daniels
July 18, 1922 - June 12, 2017

Mr. Emerson Eugene Daniels age 94, of the Walnut Grove Community, passsed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. on Friday, June 16, until the start of service at 2 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial immediately following the service in Nelson Cemetery in Monroe.

Mr. Daniels was born on July 18, 1922 in Overton County. He was the son of the late Eugen Victor Daniels and Zettie Emma Flowers Daniels. He was a WWII Army Veteran where he started his life-long profession as a Chef. Later, he was known locally as the owner of Daniels Meat Processing in Monroe where he and his son worked together for many years. He loved to plant, grow and harvest his garden. He also enjoyed leading singing every Sunday at Cullom Church of Christ where he was a member for over 40 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nellie Marie Flowers Daniels; son, Larry Daniels Sr.; daughter, Barbara Hicks; grandson Larry Dainels Jr.; and all 9 of his siblings.

Survivors include: grandchildren, Karen Daniels-Connerton, Debra Daniels-Riveros, Timothy Plauman and Tammy Edge; great grandchildren, Lauren Rease, Greyson and Jenna Riveros, Dustin & Dakota Edge; cherished friends and family - David & Debbie Plauman; Albert and Donna Julian, Lillie Kennedy and many beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.

Memorial donations may be made to the Nelson Cemetery fund in C/O Livingston Funeral Home.
