Earl Veon Hargis
November 21, 1947 - November 25, 2016

A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Earl Veon Hargis, age 69, of Baxter, TN and formerly of Overton County will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 from the Livingston Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Harris officiating. The family will welcome friends Sunday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon until time of services at 2 p.m.

Mr. Hargis passed from this life on November 25, 2016 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born November 21, 1947 in Overton County to the late Thomas Buren Hargis and Bess Deck Hargis. He was a self-employed dozer operator. He was Baptist in faith.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Morgan Hargis; daughters, Amie Hargis of Baxter and Christy Stooksberry of Knoxville, TN; a son, Terry Hutchison of Livingston, TN; grandchildren, Seth, Brooklyn, Shayla, & Bryson Hutchison, Trent and Alie Price, Cassie & Katelin Stooksberry, and Cody Watts; brothers, Paul Hargis, Odis Hargis, Junior B. Hargis, Jack Hargis, Bill Hargis, and Tom Hargis; and sisters, Lois Cross, Debbie Jones, & Vic Birdwell.

Mr. Hargis is preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Ronnie "Possum" Hargis, and sisters: Betty Harris, Imogene Ogletree, Sue Moss, & Leva May Hargis.
