Argil Raymond Colson
August 17, 1942 - November 5, 2016

Funeral services for Mr. Argil Raymond Colson, age 74, of the Willow Grove Community will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from the Chapel of the Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Clay County. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening November 8, 2016 from 4 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Colson passed from this life on Saturday evening, November 5, 2016 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born in Clay County to the late Haltie and Annie Daniels Colson. He was a custodian for the Maple Grove School and attended the Summer Shade Church of Christ. He love spending time with family, dancing, and visiting with friends.

He is survived by 1 son, David Colson of Wiggins Mississippi; 2 daughters, Donna Cooper and Diane Colson both of Livingston; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Colson & wife, Bonnie, James Colson, and Doyle Colson all of Allons; Haskell Colson & wife, Jean of Rickman; sisters, Betty Johnson of Allons, Claudine Vaughn & husband, W.C. of Rickman, and Tina Langford & husband, Jackie of Rickman; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Colson is preceded in death by: an infant brother: George Colson, son-in-law: Virgil Cooper, and best friend: Carlee Waddell.

Pallbearers to serve are: Donnie Hall, Brandon Colson, Eric Story, Parker Story, Tony Johnson, and Elliot Vaughn.
