Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Fossey, age 76, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, August 13th, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Aron Dillon will officiate. Burial will be in the Okolona Cemetery. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 3 until 8 p.m., with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.Mrs. Helen passed peacefully from this life on Thursday morning, August 10, 2017 at her home. She was born in Overton County on February 6, 1941, to the late Yelton Anna Dean Copeland Maynard. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 206 and was a Past Worthy Matron. She served as an elder member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Livingston. Mrs. Fossey loved her children grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved gardening crafts. She enjoyed working as a nurse was a pillar of her church that she loved dearly. She is survived by her son, Donald R. Fossey II wife Vicki of Livingston; daughter, Mary Dean Fossey of Livingston; grandchildren, Paul Royce William Emily M. Fossey; brothers, Gerald Maynard wife Reba of Livingston, Edward Maynard wife Becky of Cookeville; sisters, Karen McCowan of Livingston and Debra Hicks of Livingston. Several neices nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremiah Maynard.
