Graveside services for Mr. Robert Gene Taylor, age 80, of the Taylors Crossroad Community will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Old Miller Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Jenkins will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the cemetery.
Mr. Taylor passed from this life on Wednesday evening, May 3, 2017 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born in Pickett County, December 30, 1936 to the late Robert Wesley & Stella Taylor. Gene enjoyed nothing more than having a big chew of Red Man, either going fishing, doing some woodwork or just being outside on his farm tending to his cattle. He loved the outdoors and being envolved in it. He loved riding his tractor planting his row crops for the year or tending to his garden. He also loved reading and watching westerns.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years come June, Mrs. Irene Taylor of Monroe, TN; daughter, Janet Ramsey & husband Joe of Monroe, TN; & his loving grandchildren, Jonathan, Jadyn & Joshua Ramsey; 2 nephews & neices.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Taylor; brother, Kenneth Taylor & sister, Faye McDaniel.
