"Sorry for your loss. I attended school at Allons with both Durell and Barbara. My dad pastored Allons Baptist Church for a couple of years. Both Durell and I had a crush on Barbara which led to a clash on the playground one day. However, we moved away in 1953, and Durell and Barbara's friendship grew into a lifelong love. I cherish the memories I have of both. Being a choir director, I can appreciate Barbara's dedication to her church and to her music. Bob and Rebecca Vandrpool"
