Funeral Services for Mr. Robert F. "Bobby" Dickerson Jr. age 87, of the Pleasant Valley Community will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Brooks Boyd will officiate. Burial will be in the Hill Gunter Cemetery in the Ivyton Community. Folding of the Flag will be by the Honor Guard of the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home. Mr. Bobby Dickerson passed from this life on Monday evening, February 8, 2016 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born in Overton County on June 13, 1928 to the late Robert Ferrell Dickerson, Sr. Hessie Moore Dickerson. He worked for many years for the Overton County Highway Department as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of the Livingston Church of Christ. Bobby loved fishing, hunting rabbits fox hunting. He was well known throughout the community for raising some of the best beagles jack russell terrier's. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Vella Ringley Dickerson; son, Jerry Dale Threet; grandchildren, Aaron Threet, Brandon Threet Susan Bowers; great grandchildren, Ben Threet Brody Threet, Jacaid Bowers, Ethan Bowers Saviour Bowers; niece, Joyce Phillips Paulette nephew, Leland Dickerson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy Abston; brother, Paul Dickerson; sister-in-law, Maudie Bell Dickerson; nephew, Keith Dickerson great nephew, Brian Dickerson. Pallbearers to serve are Aaron Threet, Brandon Threet, David Dickerson, Cory King, Kenneth Copeland Donnie Copeland.
