Marion Muench

Marion K. Muench, of Antigo, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was 94 years old. She was born on September 15, 1915 in Antigo a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Wachal) Holup. She married Clarence Doc Muench on December 24, 1935 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2001.
She is a graduate of Antigo High School. She was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe factory for 17 years. For 20 years she worked along with her husband at Schroeder's Farm Market.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. Mrs. Muench was the Sportsmen's Club Secretary and the Northeast Conservation Council Secretary for many years. She was an activist of P.A.R.R.
She loved fishing, gardening and cooking, and was an avid reader.
Survivors include five sons, E. Thomas (Betty Jean) Muench, Tomah, Gary Michael (Gail) Muench, Plymouth, Charles (Ann) Muench, Fort Worth, TX, Patrick (Jan) Muench, Bedford, IN and Dennis (Sherry) Muench, West Bend; a daughter-in-law, Maxine Muench, Antigo; a brother, Edmund (Loretta) Holup, Antigo; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and a special friend, Terry McCann, Antigo.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Muench; two sisters, Edrie Bettack and Jeanette Kloss; a brother, Eugene Holup; a grandson, Kerry Muench; and a great-grandson, Jacob Muench.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday and 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday.
