Kenneth W. Gosnell
January 30, 1928 - February 1, 2018

Kenneth Wayne Gosnell, Sr., 90, of Montrose, IA, passed away Thursday, February 01, 2018 at his home.

Ken was born on January 30, 1928, in Barry, Illinois, the son of Charles and Nellie Bixby Gosnell. He was united in marriage to Ruth Bryant on April 30, 1950 at First Chirstian Church in Keokuk, Iowa. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2005.

Ken served in 1946 - 1950 in the United States Navy. Kenneth and Ruth had moved to Montrose in 1952. He worked as a production worker for Foote Mineral for thirty-nine years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Keokuk, Iowa. Besides working at Foote Mineral, Ken also enjoyed farming, pond fishing especially with his family. He really enjoyed reading and watching westerns.

Ken is survived by his two children: Kenneth (Rhonda) Gosnell, Jr, and Diana Gosnell both of Montrose, Iowa; five grandchildren: Josh (Lisa) Gosnell, Derek (Heather) Gosnell; Jenny (Jim) Briggs, Andrea (Chris) Janssen and Nathan Gosnell; twelve great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son Chuck and one sister.

Celebration of Kenneth's life will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at First Christian Church in Keokuk, Iowa with Rev. David Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Scandinavian Cemetery, Montrose, Iowa.

Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Monday, February 5, 2018 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street with family meeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorial in his memory may be made First Christian Church or St. Jude's Children Research.
