Robert V. Nelson
June 2, 1924 - February 6, 2018

Age 93, formerly of Blaine. Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa & Brother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on February 6, 2018.

Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra (Frank) Jacques; siblings, Dorothy Quarnstrom, Lois Knight, Basil. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Clara "Tiny"; children, Steve (Carol), Stacey; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Lorraine (Dale) Anselman; brother-in-law, Harry Schmidt; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Bob was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the Navy. He loved fishing, was a people person, and could fix anything.

Visitation 4-8 PM Friday, February 16th at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home. A Celebration of Bob's Life 11 AM Saturday, February 17th with visitation beginning one hour prior at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 SW Centennial Dr., Forest Lake. Interment 10 AM Tuesday, February 20th at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Christ Life Church, 4555 University Ave. NE, Columbia Heights.
