Obituary of Dixie Donham

Dixie K. Donham, 69, of Granger, Iowa, formerly of Winterset, died Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Granger Nursing & Rehab Center in Granger.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, February 8, 2018, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Rev. Dr. John Shaull officiating.  Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery at Winterset.

 

Dixie was born on August 22, 1948, at Iowa City, Iowa to Lyle and Albena (Ochsner) Donham.  She had spent the majority of her life in Winterset and was a 1967 graduate of Winterset High School.  She was a spunky, sassy woman with a lot of heart.  She would give the shirt off her back to you if you needed it.  Dixie had a strong relationship with the Lord and spoke often of someday being home with Him. 

 

Dixie is survived by her daughter, Magie Hitsman; and grandchildren, Audrey Hitsman and Grace Hitsman.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Albena (Ochsner) Donham; and brothers, Melvin Donham and Gary Donham.

 

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
