Joseph Michael Marchese
March 14, 1944 - February 6, 2018

Joseph Michael Marchese, 73, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in Hampton, Iowa.

Joe was born March 14, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Joseph and Rose (Riggin) Marchese. He graduated from West High School in Waterloo, Iowa. Joe was united in marriage to Judith Rae Jensen on May 10, 1985, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a skilled trades and machinist at John Deere for 31 years. Joe was a member of North Central Iowa Model Railroad Club, John Deere Fire Brigade and United Auto Workers. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Joe enjoyed building model trains, gardening, bowling, watching hockey and making lasagna. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; especially taking them fishing and to the fair.

Joe is survived by his wife Judy Marchese of Dumont, stepson Shawn (Leah) Topliff of Urbandale, stepdaughter Lisa (Steven) Stapella of St. Charles, Illinois, stepdaughter Heidi Topliff of Waterloo, son Christopher (Kirstin) Marchese of Cedar Falls, grandchildren Owen Topliff, Ethan Topliff, Austin (Becky) Stapella, Audra Stapella, Arden Stapella, Eli Marchese, Heaton Marchese, sister Mary Ann (Patrick) Moore of Waterloo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Tony Marchese and sister Mindy Stiner.
