Marilynn Jean Speer, 94, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Davenport passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Jacksonville. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Runge Mortuary Chapel. She was born September 25, 1923 in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Kauffman) Schellhorn. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Speer on July 31, 1943 in Davenport, Iowa. He passed away January 1, 2003. She was a selfless wife and mother who always put her family first and had a passion for travel. She is survived by son, Edward (Monique) Speer, Odell, IL; daughter, Margaret (Dana) Curtin, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Megan (Nate) Reynolds, Alison Lambdin; 3 great grandchildren, all of Jacksonville, FL; 2 step-grandchildren and 5 step- great grandchildren, all of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband.
