Otis Milton Floyd
March 25, 1932 - February 7, 2018

Otis Milton Floyd, age 85 of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his residence. Otis was born in Decherd on March 25, 1932 to the late Denzel and Odessa Floyd. He was the owner and operator of Floyd's 66 Full Service Station and enjoyed farming and working on tractors. Otis was of Church of Christ Faith, and will be remembered for his friendly, out-going nature...he never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Floyd, and Faye Floyd; and brothers, Earl Floyd, Van Floyd, Edwin Floyd, and Billy Floyd. Otis is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Bettye Floyd of Lynchburg; daughter, Dianne (Doyle) Baker of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Karrie Cagle of Lynchburg, and Candi (Darrell) Neal of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Emma and Evan Cagle, Ross, Andy, Addie, and Amie Neal; step-grandchildren, Troy Baker, Treva Baker, and Tangie Millsaps; several step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Thursday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, February 9, 2018 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Richard Logan officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery with Troy Baker, Ross Neal, Andy Neal, Ron Bass, Roger Bass, and Darrell Neal serving as pallbearers.
