Barbara J. Faauaa, 77, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at a local nursing home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Crossroads Evangelical Church in South Sioux City, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City.
Barbara was born December 7, 1940 in Lynchburg, VA, the daughter of John and Shirley (Broyles) Harris. She lived in Virginia and North Carolina. Barbara married Haywood Woodall, Sr. and they were blessed with 4 children, Thomas Vernon, Haywood Kemp, Jr., Steven Michael and Dawn Marie. She worked at K-Mart in Front Royal, VA for 15 years and moved to South Sioux City in 2014 due to health reasons.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved volunteering in nursing homes.
Survivors include her children, Thomas (Debbie) Woodall of Lerae, VA, Haywood Woodall, Jr. of Winchester, VA, and Steven (Angie) Woodall of South Sioux City, NE; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Pete Harris of Lynchburg, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley Harris; a daughter, Dawn Cervantes; sister, June Vest; and brother, Hobo Harris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Steven Woodall, 315 W. 22nd Street, South Sioux City, NE 68776.

"I used to work at Matneys assisted living as a house keeper. When Barbara came to live there we hit it off right away. We became really close during the time I was working there. She really adored, loved and cherished me. As me to her. On the days I worked she'd always give me a hug and kiss. Tell me how much she adored and loved me. On my days off I would stop by and visit. We would have great conversations. She would often call me as well. She truly touched my heart. With my own life situations it became harder to go visit. When I heard she was in the nursing home it broke my heart. I went to visit her a few times. It wasn't the easiest thing to do, as it wasn't the Barbara that I knew and remembered. She also didn't remember me. She acted like she did and I could see it in her eyes. But my name wouldn't come to her. Love you Barbara My condolences to her family and friends.
