In loving memory of

Perez, Regina Renee
July 14, 1959 - February 5, 2018

Regina R. Perez, was born July 14, 1959 in Cleveland Oh to Billie Ann Pitts and James Pitts. She was the first-born child of Billie Ann and was raised by her and stepfather James Byrd. As a child Regina loved caring for her younger siblings and this love would stay with her throughout her life as she became a mother figure to many. She was spiritual and professed her faith during her early childhood. Regina graduated from East Tech Highschool in 1977 and graduated Summa Cum Lade with a BA in Paralegal Studies from Dyke College.

On September 7, 1996 Regina married Radames Perez and the couple welcomed their two children Te'a and Santino along side her two children Nathan Pitts and Ashley Byrd. The couple raised their family in North Olmsted, Oh where she resided as a resident for over 20 years. During her early work years, she worked for Children Palace, FW Woolworth Company, the American Lung Association and after, dedicated over 20 years of services as a paralegal with DFAS where she retired early.

She was very intelligent, a math wiz, with a knack for learning, cooking and cake decorating. Her interests included spending time with family locally and out of town, traveling, cooking, and incorporating creativity with decorating in all different aspects. She could serve up tender advice and was always a great listener for others. Even if you had just met her, she could easily share a laugh or a tear with you depending on what you needed. She took pride in her housekeeping, family gatherings and the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and family members.

On February 5, 2018 Regina was called home to eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband Radames Perez; Children: Nathan Pitts, Ashley Byrd, Te'a Perez and Santino Perez; Grandchildren: Christopher Vaughn, Nathan Pitts Jr, Shakira Lewis, Rayanna Thomas, Nadonte Lewis, and Elijah Bigsbee; Siblings: Jamie Byrd, James Byrd Jr. (Preceded her in death) and Wanda Byrd and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Regina Perez would like to thank each and everyone one of you from the bottom of our hearts for your loving kindness, prayers and all of the many acts of condolences. May God bless each and every one of you.
