Paul Galvan, 74, of San Angelo, passed away at his home in San Angelo on January 26, 2018. He was born to the late, Polo E. and Elvira Blanche Rodriguez Galvan on March 22, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. Paul served in the United State Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Paul was a fun loving man who was known as a great dancer and music connoisseur. He was the family historian and was extremely proud of his Mexican heritage. Paul was an avid reader and writer, sharing many stories with those he loved. Paul Galvan, 74, of San Angelo, passed away at his home in San Angelo on January 26, 2018. He was born to the late, Polo E. and Elvira Blanche Rodriguez Galvan on March 22, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. Paul served in the United State Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Paul was a fun loving man who was known as a great dancer and music connoisseur. He was the family historian and was extremely proud of his Mexican heritage. Paul was an avid reader and writer, sharing many stories with those he loved. He was a foody and enjoyed White Castle, Lucky's Chinese food, Ricobene Italian and Mexican Tacos best. Paul was an avid Chicago sports-fan, supporting his favorite teams: White Sox, Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, and Black Hawks. Paul will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Joseph Cervantes.
Survivors include his brothers, Michael Galvan, Sr., and David Galvan and his wife, Lydia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends, including his special cousin, Maria Perez, and his friend, Linda Young.
There will be a private memorial service and celebration of Paul's life at a later date in Chicago.
