In loving memory of

Myra Kruse
August 13, 1954 - February 9, 2018

Always putting others in front of herself, Myra Kruse had had an extremely positive impact on anyone privileged to know her. Although her stature was small, Myra had a huge heart and was loved by all. She was as tough as nails and as sweet as sugar all in one wonderful package.

Myra was born on August 13, 1954 in Port Clinton, OH, she was the daughter of Lester and Helen (Krouse) Schlipf. As a child, Myra enjoyed collecting comic books, riding her bicycle, and helping her mother with the newspaper delivery. Myra attended Oak Harbor High School in Ohio. She excelled in the band, where she played the cornet and graduated with the Class of 1972. Myra then attended the University of Toledo, and was a student nurse and candy striper at Toledo Hospital.

Myra spent her life serving and caring for others as a CNA for 43 years, including 19 years at Peabody, where she specialized in caring for people with dementia.
On November 17, 1978 Myra married the love of her life, Timothy Walter Kruse in Toledo. From this union, she gained a step-daughter, Wendy, in addition to having four children of their own, Shaun "Tim", Geoffrey, Tami, and Cameron.

Myra loved preparing holiday meals, including Christmas sugar cookies. Her lasagna, meatloaf, and homemade pies were second to none! She was known as "Mom" to all of her children's friends and adopted all of the kids in the neighborhood.

There was never thirst with Myra around. If you declined a drink from her, she would keep insisting until you accepted it. There was not a day that went by you didn't hear her say "Sakies" or "Golly", her two favorites.
Myra was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rochester, IN, where she enjoyed services, bible study, and helping with their block parties. Myra also enjoyed reading any books written by Danielle Steele, watching the movie The Sound of Music, and watching NCIS and friends on television.

Myra was the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and caregiver that anyone could possibly ask for in this world. She is now watching over us all from Heaven and wants us all to be happy forever. She was the most selfless person we have ever known and will forever be remembered in our hearts.

Myra Kruse, age 63, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 9:10 am on Friday February 9, 2018 at her residence.

"Tim--am so sorry to hear about Myra--we grew up together; were roommates for awhile; in each other's weddings. Sadly, we lost track of each other--but I always thought of her on her birthday--we always joked that she would be driving before me. :) I will always remember her fondly. My heart goes out to you and the kids."
