William "Bill" Dixon
April 26, 1946 - February 9, 2018

William "Bill" Dixon, 71, of St. Charles, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 peacefully at home with family by his side. He was born on April 26, 1946 to David and Jean (Muir) Dixon in Sandy Ridge, PA. Bill proudly served our country during the Vietnam War. After returning home from the war he married Norma Galindo. They later divorced. On July 16, 1988 he married his soulmate, Carol (Taylor) in Tucson, AZ. They relocated from Arizona to Rochester, MN before making their home in St. Charles, MN in 2009. Retiring after 30 years at IBM, Bill worked at Sears before retiring a second time in 2008. Bill was involved with John Marshall softball from 1990-1996 and umpired for the RYFSA for many years. He enjoyed bowling, riding his motorcycle, and star gazing. The thing he enjoyed most was sitting on the front porch and waving to everyone that passed. Bill will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol; children: Quay (Ken) Flom, Jocelin (Quentin) Staton, Jay Beards, and Michelle (David) Ness; grandchildren: Antheny, Alexandra, Kayla, Taylor, Skyylar, Riley, Erik, Archer, Jacksun, Anthony, and Rosalie, great-grandson: Cole; siblings: Janet (Bill) Harpster, Barbara (Rodney) Lewis, David Dixon, and Robert (Linda) Dixon. He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Jean Dixon. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service, St. Charles, led by Funeral Celebrant Tyler Hoff. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
