Donald Richard Beers, 88, passed away on February 10, 2018 in Hamilton, Ohio. Don was born on May 6, 1929 in Sidney, OH to Raymond and Iva Beers. He was a 1947 graduate of Sidney High School. Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1948-1952 during which time he served as a Ranger. He was also a proud member of The American Legion. Don's love for people and outgoing personality served him well in a career in sales that spanned over three decades. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years - Dorothy Elizabeth Beers; sisters - Norma Jean Cotterman and Barbara Sue Cole; and brother - Robert Beers. Don is survived by his six children - Rick Beers of Hamilton, OH; Kathy Winters (John) of Centerville, OH; Larry Beers of Palmdale, CA; David Beers (Angie) of Sun City, AZ; Mark Beers (Paula) of Hamilton OH; and Denise Jewell (Mark) of West Chester, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother - Jerry Beers of Sidney; sister - Carol Cavinder of Sidney and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15th from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH, with a funeral mass immediately following. Entombment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Hamilton.
