CISCO - Kenneth W. Starkey, age 77, passed from this life, Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene. There will be a celebration of Life, Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Chambers Funeral Home, 203 W 7th St, Cisco, Texas.
Kenneth was born October 23, 1940 in Van Zandt County, Texas to George and Willie Mae Tucker Starkey. He joined the US Airforce and served 4 years from 1958 - 1962. He married Lillian "Lucine" Crowther in Dallas on December 27, 1966 and worked as an Electrical Inspector for Dallas Electric. In 1995 he moved to Cisco.
He was a member of the American Boer Goat Association and had the Grand Champion and Reserve Boer Goats at one time. Even though he had no children of his own in the Cisco Ag. Boosters, he called many his own. He loved working with the kids and helping the kids with fundraisers. He was a big part of the Eastland County Livestock Show for several years.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lucine Starkey, daughter, Kathey, 4 brothers; Bill (Esther), Jerry (Barbara), Gary (Bo), and Richard and 1 sister, Betty Gray, numerous nieces, nephews and coisins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae and George, Sr., a brother, George, Jr., and 2 sisters; Joy and Barbara.
