Louise F Mattingly

Louise Mattingly, of Boone and the Westhaven Community, died February 12, 2018 at Westhaven. Following her wishes, Louise has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall, with Rev. Dan Solomon officiating. Louise Mattingly, was born in Ames, Iowa on November 7, 1927, the daughter of Louis and Bernice (Hayworth) Morris. She married Everett McCoy. The couple later divorced. She married Garland Mattingly. Louise worked as a supervisor for the former Donnelley Marketing in Nevada and operated an upholstery shop in her home. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone. Louise enjoyed gardening, sewing, and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a daughter, Catherine McCoy Ford; two grandsons, Tim and Kevin Jones; a sister, Darlene Beach; a brother Jack Morris. Louise is survived by three daughters, Margaret Prestidge of Union, Missouri, Holly Larson and husband Terry of Boone, Vicki Lande of Steep Falls, Maine, and a son, Everett 'Tim' McCoy of Elkhart; a brother Hugh 'Fritz' Morris of Telford, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Monday, February 26th from 9 a.m. until service time. In memory of Louise, memorials may be directed to the Hope Foundation or the Food Pantry of Boone.
