George Edward Emery, 79 of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2018. He was born in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania on May 24, 1938. George graduated from Slippery Rock High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Angelo State University. George Emery had a career in United States Air Force for 21 years and GTE for 20 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, and had a passion for fishing, woodworking, cooking, traveling, and his family. He is survived by Tim and Janice Emery of Abilene, TX, Todd Emery of Sonora, Texas, Troy and Patricia Emery of Ranger, TX, and extended family. He also leaves to cherish his memories multiple grandchildren in which he loved dearly. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 6-9pm at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will immediately follow in Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
