Virginia "Jeannie" Bishop, 80, of South Sioux City, NE, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Matney's Colonial Manor in South Sioux City.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 14 , 2018 at Mohr Funeral Home of South Sioux City. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
Virginia "Jeannie" was born April 7, 1937 in Alcester, SD, the daughter of Robert and Rosella (Blomberg) White. She grew up in Hawarden, IA, graduating from Hawarden High School. Over the years, Jeannie lived in Sioux City, Iowa, Indiana, California, South Dakota and finally to South Sioux City, Nebraska in the late 1970s. She worked as a bartender throughout the Siouxland area. Jeannie enjoyed golfing, traveling and reading.
Survivors include 3 children, Ronda Blank of South Sioux City, NE, Kim (Bob) Kneifl of Ponca, NE, and Michael Fritsen of Spokane, WA; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
