Ruth Arnold
October 23, 1925 - February 1, 2018

Mrs. (Bennie) Ruth Arnold, daughter of Willie Love and Bessie Brown Anthony, was born October 23, 1925 in Beckley, West Virginia. There she attended grade school where she was well known for her smarts and her hearty uncontrollable laughter. The family later moved to Logan, West Virginia where she attended and graduated from Aracoma High School of Logan County in 1944, and blossomed into womanhood.

Mrs. Arnold moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in the early 1950's, where she mdae her home for over sixty-five years. She later was found by the lover of her life, William Otis Arnold. They were later joined together in holy matrimony and gave birth to three daughters, Leeta, Emily and Rachel and one son, Shawn. She was a faithful and devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who will long be remembered for her wisdom, her strength and her beauty; a true legend in her own right. She was an active and devoted member of New Bethel Baptist Church/New Salem Missionary Baptist Church for over fifty years, where the pastor is Dr. Melvin J. Woodard III.

Mrs. Ruth Arnold departed this long and satisfying life so sweetly, peacefully and courageously in the arms of her daughter and caregiver, Rachel on February 1, 2018 at the age of ninety-two years, three months and nine days. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her daughter, Leeta and her son, Shawn, and leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters, Emily Arnold-White (Gary) and Rachel Arnold Johnson (Henry), grandchildren, Ruth (Angel) Davis, Casey Hopkins, Jordan Sanders, Justin Rodgers, Emilie Flynn, Tywon Alvis and great-grandchildren , Isha Howard, Deztani Sanders, Elaina Davis, Dan'yel Sanders. Larry Davis III, Darius Moore, Danae Glass, Deshawn Yarbrough, Neontae Rodgers, Trinity Rodgers, Javon Rodgers, Jamirson Rodgers, Milyah Rodgers, Amari and Landon Morton, E'Malie Jordan, Tre'von Alvis and Tywon Alvis, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church family and dear friends.
