URBANDALE - Darlene Stuckle, 87, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Kavanagh House Hospice in Des Moines surrounded by her loving children.
Darlene married Leo Stuckle on Sept 4, 1949. She worked as an office manager at Western Southern Life Insurance before retiring. She loved to travel especially with taking cruises with her daughter or her friend Rosella. Much of her time was spent at the Urbandale Senior Center, Urbandale Women's Club, and her church. She loved playing bridge, enjoyed cooking and baking, the more the merrier. She will be remembered for her love and commitment to her family.
She is survived by her son Jerry (Elizabeth) of Bethesda, MD, and her daughter Julie of Urbandale, IA. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Ida Helseth, and her husband Leo. She was deeply loved by her children and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday, February 16, 2018, at 11 am. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 5 - 7 pm at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines.
