Peggy L. Martin
August 30, 1925 - February 6, 2018

Peggy Lorraine Martin age 92, passed away February 6th 2018 at her home in Fort Lupton Co. She was born August 30th, 1925 to James Earl and Cuba (Thompson) Cox in Malvern Iowa. She moved to Denver Colorado and married Earl Martin. The raised their daughter Nicolette in Arvada Colorado.

Peggy was an entrepreneur and owned and operated several businesses in her life including several neighborhood bars where she made many friends for life. She retired, once, and became a master ceramist specializing in Native American art, before she returned to own and operate the Brighton Tavern at age 82. She was a life member of the VFW. 

Peggy is survived by her daughter Nicolette (Mike) Thompson of Fort Lupton Colorado, her grandson and love of her life Colton Thompson of Fort Lupton Colorado, granddaughter Michelle Winden of Hudson Colorado who she shared a love of Native American art with as well as fashion. She is also survived by her grand son-in-law Tommy Winden, two great grandchildren Tayah and Porter Winden, three nieces and one nephew of Omaha Nebraska.

Peggy will be remembered for her love of life and self-determination. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
