Don G. Haney, 83, of Davenport, IA passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Runge Mortuary. Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Friday, February, 16 2018 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Don was born on April 29, 1934 in Pittsburgh, IA to William and Georgine (Siegfried) Haney. He served in the U.S. Navy from September, 1951 to April, 1955. He was united in marriage to Donna Justman on May 28, 2005 in Davenport, IA. Don retired from Oscar Meyer in 1988 after 28 years of service. He enjoyed fishing with his son in Keosauqua, IA at his Uncle's home. He loved to travel and take road trips. Don was a huge hockey fan, especially the Chicago Black Hawks and he was thrilled to see the Cubs win the World Series. Survivors include his children: Teri (Don) Allen, Long Grove, IA and Mike (Lori) Haney, Kansas City, MO; brother, Tom Haney, Davenport, IA; grandchildren: Heather (Justin) Brown, Nicole Liberio, Alex Haney, Corey Haney, Trevor Haney, Brayden Haney and Gavin Haney; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Gianna Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife, Donna.
